Entertainment: Singer, Sound Sultan reportedly diagnosed with cancer

 

Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, has been reportedly diagnosed with throat cancer.

The 44-year-old is reported to have commenced chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in the United States of America, The Nation reports.

The singer had earlier hinted on his absence in a post via his Instagram account, though he failed to state if it was linked to his current illness.

However, he is yet to make the news known on his social media accounts.

Also, his fellow celebrities alongside fans have taken to their social media pages offering him encouragement, support and prayers.

Sultan’s career in show business started in the 1990s when he hosted shows to raise money for studio sessions.
