  Entertainment Samuel Ajibola ‘Spiff’ quits The Johnsons TV series Samuel Ajibola, a popular Nollywood actor, known for his role as ‘Spiff’ in the comedy series, The Johnsons, has quit his role in the TV sitcom. Ajibola, on Tuesday announced that he would no longer be taking part in the comedy series but did not give further reasons. ‘Spiff’ began his career in Nollywood as a child actor and was made more popular for his role in The Johnsons produced by Rogers Ofime. The Johnsons, a daily series airs on Africa Magic, is set in Lagos and portrays an average Nigerian family.   Abiodun Aleja, a Nigerian actor and Nollywood director has passed away. Aleja died in Lagos on Friday. He worked on several projects with colleagues Tunde Kelani and Kunle Afolayan. The deceased would be remembered for his role in Afolayan’s ‘October 1’ blockbuster. Chairman, Lagos chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANATAP), Makinde Adeniran, said the wife broke the news. Aleja was admitted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) after he slumped at home weeks ago. The filmmaker reportedly went into coma but was revived at the hospital. He gave up the ghost while recuperating.
