Burna Boy, Davido, Funke Akindele, Wizkid make Forbes Africa icons’ list

  Top Nigerian celebrities have been listed on Forbes ‘100 Icons from Africa.’ Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Omotola Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele-Bello, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Mr Eazi, among other Nigerians made the list. Also, the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala featured on the list. According to Forbes, the list was curated from Hollywood exports and Grammy artists to award-winning ideas that can save the world.   Mavin CEO, Don Jazzy has made some revelation about his relationship with former signee, Wande Coal. Don Jazzy speaking on the Bounce Radio interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu unveiled a lot about Wande Coal’s exit. He clarified that the controversial Babyface song was not the major reason for their fall out. Don Jazzy noted that he never wanted Wande Coal to leave his record label but learnt through his experience over the years that there would be a time when artistes will feel like they can become independent and take charge of their careers.   Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, lockdown finalist, Nengi has reacted to the rumours that her house was bought with money she made from men. Nengi had weeks ago shared a post on Instagram in front of her new house. This generated reactions from Nigerians on social media who queried the source of her money, alleging that ‘Sugar daddy’ bought it for her. Nengi who has been silent about the accusation on Sunday revealed that she bought her house with her hard-earned money. The reality star said this during a stage performance at the recently held AY LIVE show. Nengi dared any man who claims to have given her money for the house to speak up. She said: “I do not need a man, I have my own house, and I bought it with my own hard-earned money. “If you’re a man here and you contributed one Naira to my house and you don’t talk now, God will punish you.”

I had miscarriage with twins – Banky W’s wife, Adesuwa

  Adesua, a Nollywood actress and wife to Banky Wellington also known as Banky W, has revealed that she had a miscarriage with twins months ago. Adesua revealed this in a video posted on Banky W’s Youtube page. Discussing about the trying time, Adesua disclosed that it was an emotional time for her and her husband especially when they had to evacuate the twins which were dead embryos. She said: “I had a miscarriage with twins, we saw the heartbeat and everything was okay but during a routine checkup, the scan showed no heartbeat for the twins any more. “I started laughing after the doctor told me and I went home. BREAKING: Imo IPOB’s ESN blew up police, prison headquarters – IGP orders arrest

  The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has blamed members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) for the attacks in Imo. Adamu has, however, ordered the deployment of additional units of Police Mobile Force (PMF) and other Police Tactical Squads to Imo State to strengthen security. Imo State Police Command Headquarters and the Headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) in Owerri were bombed on Monday. Force spokesman, Frank Mba, revealed that the attackers used sophisticated weapons such as General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMGs), Sub-Machine Guns (SMGs), AK49 rifles, Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). He said the attackers attempt to gain access to the Police armoury at the Headquarters was resisted by Police operatives on duty. Man United vs Real Madrid: Harry Kane told club to join from Tottenham

  Former Tottenham star, Rafael van der Vaart, has urged striker, Harry Kane, to reject a move to Real Madrid and join Manchester United. Kane has established himself as one of the top strikers in Europe since joining in recent years, scoring 215 goals in 327 games for Jose Mourinho’s side. The England international, who is yet to win silverware in his career, has drawn the interest of Man United and Real Madrid in the past. But Van der Vaart believes the 27-year-old should join Man United instead, adding that he may not succeed at Real Madrid. “He (Harry Kane) is right, although, of course, he is the man at Tottenham,” said Van der Vaart as quoted by Metro UK. “It may sound crazy, but you would almost say go to Manchester United or something, stay in England. “Usually, it’s not such a success when an English player goes to Madrid.”
