Entertainment,: Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas bring unhappily married heat to 'Deep Water'

  Seeing exes Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas on screen together will be an undeniable attraction (if not of the "Fatal" variety) for "Deep Water,"  but that shouldn't obscure the simple pleasures of this erotic thriller directed by Adrian Lyne, a crafty veteran of that genre. While the movie falls apart toward the end, the mystery -- and crackling central performances -- cruises along at a low boil much of the way.   countdown to Beyoncé's new album just got more exciting.   Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has said Nigeria has no value for human life. Alade said this as she took to her Twitter page lamenting the poor medical care in the country. She said most people are walking around with underlying diseases in Nigeria due to a lack of better and affordable medical care. Her tweet read: “What is your country’s value for human life? Entertainment : Ada Ameh, Benue women demand autopsy, insists star’s death suspicious

  A cross-section of Benue women have demanded an autopsy for the late Benue-born Nigerian Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh. Ameh, 48, reportedly slumped and died around 11:53pm on Sunday in Warri, Delta State, where she was visiting an oil company magnate and his family. The comic actress-cum-producer shared a video of herself enjoying dinner with her host family on Instagram hours before she was reportedly dead. Some women from her home state of Benue have called for an autopsy to ascertain the true cause of her death. One of the women, former Benue State Governorship aspirant, Dr. Roseline Ada Chenge, said she was shocked at the news of Ameh’s sudden death, saying she had a telephone chat with the “The Johnsons” actress, a few hours before the time she reportedly died and that she was in good health.   Veteran actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has said that Nigerians who are yet to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) are part of the problem in the country.   Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, has resigned his membership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Okonkwo tendered his letter of resignation to the Chairman of Nkpunano Ward, Nsukka, Enugu State. He said he was quitting the APC following the decision to have a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election. reports that the presidential candidate of the party for the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had on Sunday in Daura, Katsina State announced former Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima as his running mate.   Veteran Actress, Patience Ozokwo has said she does not think anyone can replace colleague, Olu Jacobs in the movie industry. The 63-year-old said this at the 80th birthday of Olu Jacobs held at the Glover Memorial Hall in Lagos on Sunday. Patience Ozokwo, while appreciating the actor for his acting skills, said she misses him on set and his versatility to play any role. “I’m missing him on set, he can play an Igbo king, he can play a Yoruba king, in fact, I don’t think anybody can replace him,” she said. Some actors, Hilda Dokubo, Ali Baba, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Victor Osuagwu, Ego Boyo, Ireti Doyle, Ini Edo, Kunle Afolayan and Ngozi Nwosu showed up at Jacob’s birthday celebration over the weekend.   Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has joined well meaning Nigerians in lamenting over the heightened state of insecurity in the country. The rapper, in a post shared on Instagram, said that he was tired of feeling sad, helpless and ashamed. His post read, “At what point does this shit become too ridiculous? “I’m really tired of feeling sad, ashamed and helpless.” Falz made this known as he shared tweets from President Muhammadu Buhari condemning the terrorists attack on Kuje correctional facility. Buhari, while assessing the extent of damage during his visit to Kuje prison after the attack, expressed disappointment over the intelligence system. The President added that cancelling his trip to Senegal at the time will mean the terrorists have succeeded, hence his decision to go ahead despite concerns from Nigerians.

  Lakreem Entertainment Inc, Nigerian Hip Hop star, Eedris Abdulkareem’s record label has called on Nigerians to pray for the “Nigeria Jaga Jaga” crooner. The label’s spokesman, Hon. Myke Pam made the call in a statement on Friday. Pam said Eedris, who has been diagnosed with kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis, needs the sincere and unalloyed prayers of all Nigerians and his fans. ”The date for the transplant surgery is now fixed for the end of this month of July, and all arrangements and texts have been concluded, including certifying the compatibility status of the gracious donor (a family member). “Therefore, on behalf of the Abdulkareem family and Lakreem Entertainment Inc., we most sincerely ask for prayers and good wishes for Eedris, as we face this challenging times.” He further stated that Eedris is full of life and in high spirit, adding that he will definitely come out and blaze up the musical stage again, in due course.

  Cassie Goldstein shared her harrowing experience at the Fourth of July massacre in Highland Park, Ill. during which her mother Katie Goldstein, and six others were killed. Cassie Goldstein  remembers her mom  Katherine "Katie" Goldstein  enjoying the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Ill. Only one of them made it out alive. Katie, 64, was one of seven people killed after  Robert Crimo III , 22, fired shot after shot into the crowd at the holiday event near Chicago. More than three dozen people were wounded. ENTERTAINMENT : Cheer's Jerry Harris Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison in Sex Crimes and Child Pornography Case

  In February, former  Cheer  star Jerry Harris pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. The former  Cheer  star was sentenced on July 6 to 12 years in federal prison in his sex crimes and child pornography case, the U.S. Attorney's Office tells E! News. His prison sentence will be followed by eight years of court-supervised release. Harris pleaded guilty in February to one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.  According to the plea agreement, the first charge pertains to Harris repeatedly asking a 17-year-old boy to send "sexually explicit photographs and videos" of himself in exchange for approximately $2,000 in 2020.
